Heather Shaw joined USCIB in 2000 and presently serves as the organization’s lead staff person for information, communications and technology issues. In that capacity, she works with members and government officials on a wide range of international business issues including initiatives to regulate transborder data flows, combat cybercrime and promote liberalization in the services sector.
Ms. Shaw works through USCIB’s international affiliations and directly with the U.S. Government to provide a U.S. business perspective into international negotiations on those issues. She has represented USCIB members’ interests in several international forums, including the UN, APEC and the OECD.
Prior to joining USCIB, Ms. Shaw worked at the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service in Washington, D.C. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international trade and finance from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in international economics and international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
