Jack Huttner (Genencor International) has been nominated to serve as vice chair of Bio-Processing of the BIAC Biotechnology Expert’s Group Bureau. Mr. Huttner currently serves as the co-chair of the U.S. Biomass Technical Advisory Committee and is chairman of the Industrial and Environmental Section of the Biotechnology Industry Organization. Mr. Huttner has been actively engaged in the Task Force on Biotechnology for Sustainable Industrial Development at the OECD and represented BIAC at the February 20meeting of the Task Force in Seville, Spain. His appointment to this post will significantly enhance the efforts of both BIAC and USCIB to raise the profile of industrial biotechnology in the international arena.
