World Chambers Federation

The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is ICC's specialized division for its chamber of commerce members worldwide.  American chambers who join USCIB automatically become members of WCF.

More than ever, chambers of commerce must work closely together to help their members take advantage of new market opportunities worldwide.  WCF not only helps individual chambers to become more productive, but also strengthens links between them.

Through its extensive global support network, WCF enables chambers around the world to exchange experiences and improve their performance in areas such as finance, management and the development and promotion of services.

WCF enlists the expertise of long-established chambers to advise newcomers on possible service benefits for their members and creating the best structure for maximum effectiveness.

WCF also works closely with multilateral aid organizations, like the World Bank Group and the United Nations Development Program, on capacity building projects.   This UN-business partnership aims to assist chambers from developing countries in developing sustainable business services, thereby consolidating their central role in the economic development of their countries.

And every two years, WCF convenes the World Chambers Congress, where chamber executives from around the world can gather to share expertise and intelligence.  Recent World Chambers Congresses took place in Istanbul(2007), Durban (2005), Quebec City (2003), Seoul (2001) and Marseille (1999).  The 6th World Chambers Congress will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia June 3-5, 2009.
