Dave Murphy oversees all financial operations, along with carnet claims, administration and information technology for USCIB and the USCIB Foundation.  He brings over 20 years of financial management, accounting and audit experience to the organization.  Prior to joining USCIB, Murphy was the sole proprietor of a successful financial consulting business that provided a wide range of financial management services to private homebuilders and land developers in South Carolina.  Within his consulting operation, he served as the chief financial officer for a top-100 private builder/developer based in Myrtle Beach, SC with developments from Tennessee to Florida.

Murphy received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.  He began his professional career in the Detroit office of the global accounting firm Deloitte & Touche, where he provided audit services to a diverse client base including manufacturing, health care and non-profit organizations.  After obtaining a Certified Public Accountant license, he joined Michigan-based homebuilder, Pulte Homes where he spent 11 years in various financial management roles, including vice president of finance for a region with annual sales of over $500 million.

The official announcement was made by Sheikha Tamadar Al Thani, director of international relations and chambers’ affairs at Qatar Chamber (QC) and the International Chamber of Commerce Qatar, during her participation in a WATAC meeting organized by the International Chamber of Commerce’s World Chambers Federation on May 9, 2018 in Xi’an, China. The ATA Carnet system is expected to be implemented in Qatar as of August 1, 2018 but will only accept Carnets issued for Exhibitions and Fairs only.
