OECD Consumer Policy meetings on November 2-6, 2020, which will be held remotely. Please find some further preliminary information about the meetings of the OECD Consumer Policy Committee (CCP) and the OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS) below:

OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS) | 2 November 2020

The OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS) will meet on 2 November 2020.

Topics to be discussed will include issues associated with;

– Recommendation on Consumer Product Safety (Item 3),

– Global awareness campaign on Product Safety (Item 4), and

– Internet of Things (Item 5).

OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS) and Consumer Policy Committee (CCP) Joint Session | 3-4 November 2020

Please note that 3 November and 4 November will focus on joint projects between the Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS) and the Committee on Consumer Policy (CCP) and be organized as joint sessions.

Topics to be discussed will include issues associated with;

– Artificial Intelligence: Business Perspectives (Item 9*),

– Review of the OECD E-commerce Recommendation (Item 10*), and

– Draft policy note on Online Marketplaces (Item 13*).

*Please note that the Item number here is aligned with the number in the draft agenda of WPCPS (DSTI-CP-CPS-A(2020)2.en.pdf).

OECD Consumer Policy Committee (CCP) | 5-6 November 2020

The OECD Consumer Policy Committee (CCP) will meet on 5-6 November 2020.

This meeting will include discussions on;

– Personalised Pricing Experiment (Item 11),

– Legislative Actions for Consumer Protection Enforcement Cooperation (Item 12), and

– Measuring Consumer Detriment in relation to e-commerce (Item 14).

– The session will also include Roundtable on the Dark Commercial Patterns Online (Item 15).
