USCIB Foundation-IOE-Deloitte SDG Summit

Event info: In conjunction with the United Nations High Level Political Forum, The USCIB Foundation is teaming up with the International Organization of Employers and Deloitte to host a meeting and dinner is to give business and employers’ organizations the opportunity to discuss SDG engagement with senior UN staff and Ministers, and particularly on how to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda by working together in partnership. This interaction will ensure the input of the global employers’ community to HLPF 2019 and provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn from best practices.
The 2019 UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF 2019) on Sustainable Development, the theme of which is “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”, will focus on the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Goal 4 (quality education and lifelong learning)
Goal 8 (economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work)
Goal 10 (Reduce inequality)
Goal 13 (combat climate change)
Goal 16 (access to justice and effective, accountable and inclusive institutions)
Goal 17 (global partnership for sustainable development).
SDGs 4, 8 and 10 in particular are highly relevant for employers’ organizations. IOE will also launch a global IOE-USCIB -Deloitte Flagship report on SDG 8 at this event.
